The third release on the Oslo based event and label establishment, Det Gode Selskab, comes from the Bikini Waxx record dealer, Alexander Skancke. Some of Skancke's finest work to date recently saw the light on his Quirk imprint, and this EP follows up with no exception. Alexander’s already deep relation with Det Gode Selskab shines strong here as he delivers his strongest release to date.

The Mouth EP comes in the shape of three fine originals, and a remix from the fellow Norwegian, DJ Fett Burger as DJ Fett Birger. The opener Munn is slick and smooth UK inspired power-house track. It's deep and punchy yet filled with subtle details that makes it one for both the underground heads as well as a healthy weapon for the big boys. Pearly Whites is more tripped out and freaky with chopped up garage drums, percussion, edgy chords and rich texture to give it a late afterparty feel. Yes or No goes right off with big chord stabs full of color, squelchy synth modulations and hardcore kicks bumping along the groove.

DJ Fett Birger’s reworks Yes or No with a magic sense of invention, laying the ground for a modern-day classic. It becomes a slick and star gazing house tune built on busy drums that follows in and out of time is making sure to set a mark. Yet again another intriguing remixer from the forward-thinking Norwegian label.

This is a fantastic EP for fresh, off kilter house music.
